A Band, Plus What You Actually Run

A monthly price sized by how many entities and people you have, and credits for the handful of actions that cost us real money per use. No implementation fee, no per-module upsell.

Monthly Bands

  • 1 entity

Every band is the whole product. Consolidation, revenue recognition, the close, the diligence package, the audit trail — there is no edition that withholds a capability to create an upgrade path. What the band sizes is how much of it you are running.

What Credits Are For

Most of what the product does costs us nothing per use, and is not metered. A few things cost real money every time they run — a third party charges us — and those draw on credits rather than being averaged into everyone’s subscription:

  • Reading a document with AI to draft a bill from it.
  • Classifying an uploaded document against the chart of accounts.
  • Reading a receipt with AI to propose a draft journal entry from it.
  • Drafting the explanation for one flagged month-over-month swing with AI, from the ledger lines behind it.
  • Drafting a judgement on one anomaly finding with AI, from the finding's evidence and the entry's ledger lines.
  • Drafting one proposed adjustment with AI, from a confirmed finding or a flagged month-over-month swing and the ledger lines behind it.
  • Drafting a close period's checklist and client-request list with AI, from the prior period's tasks, blockers, check results and requests.
  • Drafting the explanation for one account's budget variance with AI, from the period's budget-versus-actual table and the ledger lines behind it.
  • Drafting the text of one footnote disclosure with AI, from the period's disclosure checklist and the saved statements it accompanies.
  • One AI copilot turn — a question answered from the books, up to eight tool rounds (plan §6, AI-22)
  • Transmitting an e-invoice over the Peppol network.

Everything else — posting, closing, consolidating, reporting, exporting, inviting people — is in the band. Credits are not a currency for using the software; they are how the two or three genuinely variable costs are passed on rather than hidden.

The exact credit cost of each action is on the versioned rate card, which is the authoritative copy: it is the same price list the product charges against, so a published price and a charged price cannot drift apart. A price change is a new version, and a task’s cost is locked to the version in force when it started.

If You Need More Credits

Starter Pack

$49

500 credits

Standard Pack

$99

1,250 credits

Large Pack

$149

2,500 credits

Included plan credits expire at the end of each billing period and do not roll over; unused credits are lost. Purchased credits last 1 year from purchase.

Controls, Before the Meter

  • Automation proposes and a person decides: scheduled work lands as a draft for approval unless you have deliberately switched on auto-posting, company by company.

Metered spend can be capped per company, and an automated task that would exceed the cap stops rather than spending. Turning metering on at all requires a preview that shows what it will cost first. We would rather you never have a surprising invoice than have a good story about why one happened.

Expert Help

Accounting Advisor — the firm — is priced separately, per entity per month, at each of its three tiers. It is a separate legal entity under shared ownership, it invoices you itself, and it does not appear on your software invoice.

How Expert Help works →

These are launch prices, and we will say so when they move

The band prices are set; the credit allowances are sized from what we expect usage to look like and will be re-sized once we have real usage from customers rather than from ourselves. If that means allowances go up, they go up. A price change is a new rate-card version with a date on it, not a quiet edit.

The fastest way to know whether the band is right for you is to look at your own entity count with the product in front of you.
