Automate Accounting

Company

Built by People Who Close Books With It

Automate Accounting is accounting software for companies that have outgrown small-business tools. Accounting Advisor is an accounting firm that runs its own practice on it. They are two companies, under shared ownership, and we would rather explain that up front than have you discover it.

The Two Companies

Automate Accounting

The software. Party to the licence.

Accounting Advisor

The accounting firm. Optional, priced separately.

Automate Accounting builds and operates the platform. It is the party to the licence and the privacy policy, and it is who you are contracting with when you buy the software.

Accounting Advisor is a separate legal entity: a working accounting firm, under shared ownership, that offers advisory and controller services alongside the product. If you want professional eyes on your close, it is available as an add-on — and if you do not, nothing about the software depends on it.

Why We Tell You This

A software company that also sells accounting services has an obvious conflict worth naming: we could recommend our own firm because it suits us. So — the firm is optional, it is priced separately, and the software does not degrade without it. You can buy the platform and never speak to them.

The upside is real too. The firm is a demanding customer that closes real books on this software every month, and finds the things testing does not.

What That Actually Buys You

Most accounting software is built by people who have never had to explain a variance to a lender at ten at night. The features on this site exist because a practice needed them and said so — and the ones that felt clever but did not survive a real close were removed.

  • Close readiness is read from the books themselves, so a step cannot be ticked off while the work behind it is still undone: unposted entries, unreconciled accounts, subledgers that don't tie.

  • Multi-entity consolidation rolls up each company's real books, with intercompany eliminations and access controlled company by company.

  • Revenue recognition runs on contracts and performance obligations in the system, not on a spreadsheet somebody maintains beside it.

How We Talk About What We’ve Built

Every factual claim on this site is either shipped and traceable to the feature that ships it, or labelled as building or as direction. That is not a style choice — it is checked automatically, and the site cannot be published if a forward-looking claim loses its label or a shipped claim loses its receipt.

We publish direction, not dates. If something here is not labelled, it is running today and you can test it in the sandbox.

Contact

contact@automate-accounting.com reaches the product company — sales, security reviews, support, anything about the software. For the advisory practice, see accounting-advisor.com.

The legal documents are the End-User License Agreement and the Privacy Policy, both with Automate Accounting. The Data Processing Addendum sits alongside them and forms part of the licence.
